as i'm working from home now,
and taking care of baby round the clock,
days, hours and even months seem to flow together
in an endless stream.

but i'm always happy to see friday roll around nonetheless.
this weekend i will be happily spending time with the family
and avoiding writing projects...

now that we have a little one,
i've been thinking it would be fun to have a family portrait taken.
but not in an olan mills kind of a way.

anthropologie at home

this month's elle decor shows the apartment of keith johnson,
who has what i would imagine to be a dream job.
he's a buyer-at-large for anthropologie.

oh, i can only imagine scouring the globe for that shop!
the treasures...

so it's quite a treat to see his own house.

i think the bedroom is my favorite space.
love the union jack quilt, and the wall color is delicious.

sorry for the looooong delay in posting, but as you may have guessed...
i had my little one!

she was born on august 10th and is absolutely more
beautiful and amazing then i could have ever dreamed.

motherhood is also more challenging and exhausting then i could have anticipated!

but all is well, and i'm looking forward to posting again...sporadically...
as i re-enter the world as a new mom!

the nursery is finally done!
here are a few pics...

dresser was old and brown,
but got a new life with a fresh coat
of white paint and red knobs.

blue walls and drapes made from ikea fabric.

a daybed from her older cousin,
framed pics cut out from a baby animal book
and a quilt made by her great-grandmother.
